Unfortunately, this year’s club presentation was cancelled due to the Covid 19 outbreak. There is more to life than pigeon racing when such a pandemic is gripping the nation. But it’s always good to promote the hard work of the winning lofts of the previous season.

 

 

The cub had its usual Wednesday nights Open shows during the months of November /December. Which were excellently organised by member Craig Gillespie and also well attended. At the end of this schedule club members had their club show. And with members set to attend the presentation night it’s in everyone's best health that it didn't go ahead.

 

 

Hopefully a wee mention in the doo media will help with the self-isolation for our members. Some club photos of members and doos included.  

 

 

The club had seventeen lofts for season 2019.Like most clubs up for grabs include the Old bird average(including channel race),Combine Average and Young bird Average, First five race average OB, First yearling in Yearling derby race, Longest Inland race & Longest OB race.

Lanarkshire race programme is from 60 miles to 460 miles.

Top prize winners 2019- Tom Corrie Son G/son winners of 10 x 1st,13 x 2nd ,12 x 3rd prizes in 17 races competed. 9 x 1st prizes Old Birds and 1 x 1st Young birds (Only racing three YB races) Winners of Old Bird Average, First five race average, Longest Inland race, First yearling derby. Flying an average of around seventeen pigeons per week over the season. Well done Tom excellent flying.

 

 

Tom Corrie Son G/son, top prize winners Clarkston & Dist 2019

 

Danny Mitchell & Son won 6 x 1st Prizes which included 2 x 1st Old bird races and 4 x 1st YB races.4 x 2nd prizes and 3 x 3rd  prizes Winner of Young Bird Average & Longest race OB from Ypres Including 1& 2nd Open Lanarkshire federation in Hexham YB race. Danny is a small team flyer and raced very competitively throughout the season. Well done Danny.

 

Danny Mitchell had a good season 6 x 1st prizes including longest race OB & YB and below outsire his small loft set up.

John Murphy, 2 wins 1 x 1st OB racing, 1 x 1st YB racing, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd prize Johns season was blighted by ill health in his pigeons. Hopefully they are back to full health this season.
