Lanarkshire Young Bird Open Race-Ripon
This weeks takes us to the premier young bird race of the season from Ripon, which is around the 155 miles mark back into Scotland from North Yorkshire. The relatively small convoy of 925 & 2 Faulhouse baskets were liberated at 1110 am in a fresh west wind.
Those that competed had to wait till for Saturday marking and a Sunday race for this event. The race was again a difficult affair but the returns were generally better than the previous week.
