LANARKSHIRE FEDERATION

Lanarkshire,Scotland News -Thirsk race

This week takes us to Thirsk in  North Yorkshire, England, famous for its race course and James Herriot famous vet and author. Around 150 mile fly back into central Scotland.(You may ask why I am adding the countries, its because this report goes world wide) The birds this week had the opposite race conditions from last week with a North by North west wind to face all the road they wouldn't be up in the 1700s this week. A true race was flown(As some would say in a head wind) although the birds again were erratic with many missing, is it because all these Scottish federation in the North East of England ,set of traffic lights for the liberations one would think. The pigeons over 6500 of them were away at 08 30hrs and the winners started to arrive after 3hrs 36minutes into Lanarkshire for a velocity in the mid1200s Returns were a mixed bag with most missing some.
Federation winner was another close encounter for two lofts , one of the west section  star Wullie Millen and the Lanarkshire all time greats GWP Macaloney in the centre. With less than 2yds for first prize and his second federation win this season goes to Wullie Millen of Cambuslang. This result shows the spread of the winners in such a large federation.
Wullie is a  top pigeon fancier and often has them homing in batches. Just ask wee Billy Allison in Cambuslang who some times sees these birds speeding their way

down to Rutherglen to Wullies loft.
Well done Wullie,top man
