Uddinston & Dist Flying Club is one of the biggest and most potent racing clubs in the Federation and Scotland.

This club is usually up with the best every week and this year has the federation Champion loft 2015.

The club is everything you wish for as one of the top clubs in the federation,always supporting the federation in everything, providing leadership and its premises to the benefit of all concerned.  

Club President Billy Graham, invited myself and my dad up to the top table to present the cracking array for trophies.

Its great to see clubs having these nights as I have said its essential to maintain the identity of the club and allows everyone a wee night out.

This year their was a number of fine performances in the club winning 4 x 1st Open Lanarkshire Federation and two lofts Dave McCaig and McCormick & Hughes topping the federation twice. Brilliant lads, this alone this is outstanding.

The members turned out in numbers to support the winners, well done to all and I enjoyed a chat to a few throughout the night.

The Dance floor full 

 

The lovely buffet when down a treat and the disco kept the dance floor full.

The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the company of Martin and Mick ,real pigeon fanciers who are up in the Champions league of flying pigeons.

 

As stated this year the federation Champion  loft was every present at the top of club and federation and with a Combine birdage of over 71,000 birds the loft of McCormick & Hughes are the best of the best. You have probably already read of their many performances including SHU Celtic Trophy for their cracking yearling cock Hurricane Mick

The partnership among their cracking season included ,2 x 1st Federation and 2nd the following week, absolutely brilliant flying .Mick McCormick & Martin Hughes have maintained their fine season of 2014 with a Champion season that also included 3rd Open from the longest race in the Old bird programme from France.
