Lanarkshire Social Circle Prize Winners Night
One of the finest clubs in the land got together to celebrate their trophy winners for season 2015. As with previous years it was held in the top venue of Avonbridge Hotel, Hamilton.
Our secretary Davie McCaig had the trophies sparkling and his usual professionalism had everything to clockwork.
A top class meal was served as always and with the top table being two of Ayrshire's finest Robert Reid of Beith and Derek McKinlay of Largs.
Frank Welsh (Good friend of Billy Gordon) were introduced by the charismatic President Ronnie Reid and with Jim Cullen in fine form no one was safe from a joke or two.
The entertainment for the night was Robert Gilmour who had the hall laughing their sides off.
Billy Gordon is this year’s Champion loft winning the prestigious Gold Cup that anybody that knows anything about pigeons will tell you, is possible the hardest cup to win in the land. Billy continued on from last years cracking season to win the holy grail of cups.
Billy is a top fancier and can hold his own at most distances but always excels at the distance races in the SNFC programme and winning 1st Open Ypres 2014 & 2nd Open Ypres 2015 Lanarkshire Federation.
All the members were proud of this achievement and with his level of consistency deserves his title of Champion loft, Lanarkshire Social Circle.
His good friend Frank Welsh was invited to say a few words about Billy and he done him proud.

Big thank you to all members and friends and guests who took the time to come along for another splendid night.
As usual the members got together for a good chin wag about pigeons and the" golden circle" continues.
