LANARKSHIRE FEDERATION
Tom Corrie
Otterburn 1 & 2
This years season got started from Otterburn in the Northumberland area of England. Its around the 82 mile mark into Lanarkshire, Scotland. The birds were liberated at 10 am into a south-west wind with the leading birds recording over 1300ypm. The weather has been shocking and fanciers have been struggling to get their birds out to exercise and train. This weeks federation winner again is the magnificent loft of GWP Macaloney of Coatbridge, last years federation champions. East or west racepoints make no difference to these guys, in my opinion, the best loft in Britain at Federation racing.

This bird was bred by his highly successful brother John McFall of High Blantyre who got off to his usual brilliant best topping the South Lanarkshire federation from Otterburn.

Best of British Telephone Sale
Twenty young birds are to be sold in a Best of British sale that will be done by telephone bids. This will take place at the end of July and will be advertised in the BHW. Birds from the top fanciers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland have been pledged. Further details of the donors will appear at a later stage.
Latebred Sale
Further sale of latebreds will take place sometime towards the end of August within Lanarkshire, date and time to be confirmed. These latebreds will be donated direct from top performance pigeons from Lanarkshire and Scotland.
The sales above are required to help with our ongoing purchase of new transportation required. Lanarkshire would like to thank all donors, especially the friends throughout Scotland and the UK, that have contributed to our first sales that have taken place since 1992. Special thanks to all those who donated youngster to our highly successful sale including Michael Massarelli, Louella lofts.
