“Big Pencil Hen”, is exactly that, a big hen, but full of body and ‘front’. She is like a wedge in the hand – a superb handling pigeon and soft in the feather. You cannot fail to be impressed when you get her out the box !!!

This pair bred outstanding pigeons – “Alfie” bred over 40x1sts!!!!! 

Unfortunately, this year I needed to remove his ring, as a young bird, he had a couple of races before returning with two broken legs!!!  One of them has healed to the side and he walks a bit bow-legged.

It does NOT stop him from filling eggs and rearing excellent young birds

In fact from the few I have bred off him, two have been here with Fed winners

I have crossed these bloodlines into some sprint pigeons I have got in from Belgium (Sylvain Verhestraeten) and they started to perform excellent, I had my best FED performance EVER earlier this season with my Young Birds, see the attached result from Warwick - I sent 28 young ones and had 13 come together (12 went in quickly).

The above bloodlines, (crossed with the Belgium sprinters) won 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 10th Federation !!
