"NELLIE" a 4 year old chequer pied Hen of small to medium size was clocked just after 10a.m. on the second day after the hazardous 720 mile trip from Barcelona. The race itself was one of the toughest Barcelona races in history with light to moderate winds with high temperatures of 30' to 32'C, she was raced to one five day old youngster. Unusually her first nine primary flights are white and her colouring must come from the Van Geel blood in her pedigree. Only three ever bred from "NELLIE" before she was sold to Japan for 96,000 euros.
