I did not ring any young birds this year (2019) as I knew I was packing up. However I did use some old GB18 and GB17 rings and put them on 4 of the youngsters that some of the above pigeons were flying home too during the mentioned races. The 5th pigeon was bred in January 2019 in my stock loft.
In my opinion there are 3 cock birds and 2 hen birds. All have been trained 30 miles North, South, East and West to ensure they have the necessary orientation ability which they should pass on to their offspring. (there were 2 additional pigeons in this group but they did not make the grade)
These 5 pigeons are all bred from marathon distance birds, Jan Aarden based. In the right hands they will produce excellent offspring.
The parents of 4 of these birds have flown two of the 632, 655 or 516 mile races this year and their positions are included above. All clocked in race time.
THE PARENTS OF THESE BIRDS ARE ALREADY SOLD.
