NEW YORKSHIRE MIDDLE ROUTE FEDERATION NEWS WITH SUE.

This week the race from Battle on the 11th of June liberated 2,354 birds in a Strong South West Wind. Topping the Federation and the South Section is Ken Lister of Holderness on 1772 Topping the Central Section is Mr & Mrs Paul Jacobs of Hull on 1760. Topping the North Section is Paddy Johnson & Derek Howard of Scarborough on 1707. Well done to everyone. We would also like to say a big thank you to Gary Cox not only getting the federation sponsors for all the none money races, but also for sponsoring each section winner of the 7 money races for £50 totalling £1,050 which adds to the total prize money of the overall winner and the 5 positions in each section of each race. Once again thank you to all our sponsors.   

Coastal South Section:

Holderness Flying Club. 8 members sent 190 birds with the red card going to Ken Lister on 1772 with a Gary Cox Vanden Bulck cock Second place went to Ken Lister on 1766 with a Premier Stud Sablon x Hardy Kruger which has won before. Third place went to Ken Lister on 1720 with a John Wright Geoff Cooper bird which won 3 weeks ago. Fourth place went to Paul & Helen Johnson on 1717 with a Herman Ceuster x Sablon hen.

Hornsea & D. H. Society. 5 members sent 123 birds with the red card and the next places all going to Gavin Leahy on 1735, 1734, 1726 1714 1708 with his family of Clive Listers Vandenabeele which he is very pleased with.   

Flamborough Homing Society. 7 members sent 221 birds with the red card going to Kerry Mellonby Stewart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1767 with a Stewart Knowles Roman Klien scored earlier in the season.  Second place went to Kerry Mellonby Stewart Knowles & Colin Simpkin on 1767 with a Clive Lister Pit Bull breed. Third place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1765 with a Herman Ceuster hen which won Eastbourne as a yearling last year and was 2nd sec 2nd open and lots of other prizes. Fourth place went to John & Linda Chadwick on 1765 with a 3yr old same way bred as the other and has also won prizes.

Bridlington D.F.C. 4 members sent 43 birds with the red card and all the first four positions going to Oliver & Shaun Wilkinson with their family of Janssens bred by brother in Leeds, except for the third pigeon which was bred by Mr Bennison of Hornsea.

Withernsea Homing Society. 3 members sent 27 birds with the red card Second and Third and Fourth places going to Alec & Margaret Dodson on 1628 1616 1586 1585, the first K. Anderson x John Rawson, second off French stray, Third off J. Rawson x G. Atkinson, Fourth Tonys Choice.   

Central Section:

Beverley & District Club. 15 members sent 194 birds with the red card going to Philip Bolton on 1714 with a yearling Franzwols cock which is showing well. Second place went to Philip Bolton on 1699 with a Franzwols 2yr old cock already had 3 x 2nds this year and won as a y.b. also wins the pools for the 3rd week. Third place went to Mick Mallinson on 1697 with a yearling Bulck. Fourth place went to Mick Mallinson on 1695 with a 3yr old Premier Stud Herman Ceuster cock.

Hull Chalk Lane Club. 9 members sent 162 birds with the red card going to George Rudd on 1709 with a Herman Ceuster hen. Second place went to George Rudd on 1690 with a Ceuster hen scored before. Third place went to Dave Thompson on 1685 with a Maldahartz cock. Fourth place went to P. C. Carmichael on 1683 with a Vandenabeele hen.

Hull Millennium Club. 10 members sent 197 birds with the red card going to Alan Stone & Son on 1734 with a Ronnie Nicklin hen which has won the pools & two bird before. Second & Third places went to Alan Stone & Son on 1733 & 1727 with a pair of self breds of the Guinness factory lines. Fourth place went to K. S. Marritt on 1719 no details given.

Buckingham F. Club. 8 members sent 99 birds with the red card again going to Mr & Mrs Paul Jacobs on 1760 with a Gary Cox Ceuster full brother to a winner. Second place went to Mr & Mrs Paul Jacobs on 1759 same way bred Ceuster. Third place went to Mr & Mrs Paul Jacobs on 1732 with a multi card winner & fed topping Ceuster. Fourth place went to Mr & Mrs Paul Jacobs on 1713 with a consistent card winning Lambrecht a top loft.

Cottingham Homing Society. 6 members sent 62 birds with the red card going to Andy Stephenson on 1726 with a Louis Coorman taking its 4th win. Second place went to Jeff  Donner on 1697 with a multi prize winning Vanasalt. Third place went to Andy Stephensonon 1696 with a Louis Coorman multi prize winner.  Fourth place went to Jeff Donner on 1681 with a multi prize winning Maldehrtz.   

Driffield Homing Society. 5 members sent 87 birds with the red card and the next three places all going to Ken Gladstone on 1723 1701 1701 & 1701 all with his Vandenabeele Family from Whitaker stock and Shadow lines.

Ravenser Flying Club. 13 members sent 252 birds with the red card going to Paddy Murphy on 1750 with a 3yr old Syndicate lofts Fed Topper. Second place went to Paddy Murphy on 1750 with a 2yr old Syndicate lofts multi prize winner. Third and Fourth places went to John Eastburn on 1744 and 1737 with a pair of yearling cocks, grandsons off his best Stafford hen.

North Hull Club. 7 members sent 90 birds with the red card for the third week going to P. Rhodes on 1707 with a Carrera Busschaert off Bob Smith. Second place went to Crawford & Wood on 1681 with a Ronnie Nicklin x Jamie Martindale Ceuster. Third place went to M. Foster on 1681 with a Wayne Brownlee x Ronnie Nicklin bird. Fourth place went to P. Rhodes on 1681 with a Shane Redding Ceuster that won 2weeks ago and 2nd last week.   

Kingston Flying Club. 3 members sent 61 birds with the red card going to Mark Taylor on 1737 with a self bred Shane Redding which was 3rd fed last week. Second place went to Mark Taylor on 1732 with a Gary Cox x Shane Redding Ceuster which has scored before. Third place went to Mark Taylor on 1718 with a self bred Shane Redding Ceuster. Fourth place went to Mark Taylor again on 1718 with a Gary Cox x Shane Redding Herman Ceuster.

Coastal North Section:

Scarborough Social Club. 10 members sent 197 birds with the red card going to Paddy Johnson & Derek on 1707 with a Keith Arkless pigeon which has this year a 1st Huntingdon & 3 Chelmsford. Second place went to Pete Thorpe & Dave Elvidge on 1705 with a Herman Ceuster which has already this year had a 2nd & 3rd Eastbourne this year. Third Place went to Paddy Johnson & Derek on 1685 with a Roger Grundy hen which was 1st at Eastbourne. Fourth place went to Neil Rogers on 1678 with one of his 12 broken off pigeons which flies near to his old house but has never gone back.        

Whitby Premier Club. 11 members sent 256 birds with the red card going to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1703 with a Gert Heylen x Louis Thijs x Franciois Leys yearling hen which has had a 4 Huntingdon 6 Sleaford. Second place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1701 with a Frans de Coux x Louis Thijs which has had a 2nd Reed 3rd Eastbourne 5th Chelmsford, 7th Battle. Third place went to Alan Richardson on 1701 with a Louis Thijs hen which has had a 3rd Chelmsford 3rd open. Fourth place went to S. Mallinson & Son Rob on 1701 with a Gert Heylen x Louis Thijs yearling hen which has had 2nd Huntingdon 8th Eastbourne. P Mann son & Grandsons win the pools.
