The Derbyshire North Road Federation
The DNRF held its fourth old bird race of the season from Hexham race course in Northumberland the trio of Clarance Kai and Cameron got the birds on their way at 09.00am into a south east wind turning north east on route on the 20/5/23.
The top ten in the event are as follows winning the federation plus 3rd federation was Mr & Mrs Dave Lee flying 146 miles his winner a 2y blue cock was bred and a gift bird to Dave from Kevin Henstock of Sutton in Ashfield Mansfield and his second being a 1y blue hen being of Dave’s old loyal Jansen family strain Louella based both were flown on the roundabout system with velocities of 1541 and 1528.

2nd and 10th federation was Mr & Mrs Lyndon Moakes flying 134 miles their first a 1y mealy hen being a Joesbury & Darby bred hen and their second a 2y blue hen being a Johan Van Herk both flown on the roundabout system doing 1530 and 1506.

4th federation was Keith Orton & Son flying 134 miles with a 1y red cock being a Dillon strain crossed Herman Cuesters flown on the widowhood system with a velocity of 1523.
5th federation was Steve Devine flying 139 miles with a 2y dark chequer hen doing 1520.
6th federation was Mr & Mrs Hasslam & Son flying 137 miles with a 2y blue cock of their Herman Cuesters and Soojens flown on the widowhood doing 1513.
7th federation is Mr & Mrs Guilford flying 144 miles with a 1y blue widowhood cock doing 1512.
8th federation was Rick Shelton flying 142 miles with a 1y blue cock on the widowhood being of Herman Cuesters based doing 1511.
9th federation was Darren Hadfield flying 134 miles with a 1y blue hen being a Sangan crossed Dave Peeters flown on the roundabout system doing 1508.
