Hi, Saturday 13th August 2011 saw our 4th race when 93 Members Sent 2,167 Birds Liberated at 12:45PM In a West wind. Right, I will start with the winning club Llay HS who had a fantastic race as a club: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Fred Tilston & Sons Steve & Peter. Sire of the winning hen is from Golden Chip, their n.o 1 Flor Engles cock when paired to their n.o 1 Meyveart hen, the dam of 5 x 1st Fed winners and the Saintes cock who has won many top open prizes in the MNFC. The dam is the n.o 2 Meyveart hen who is now the dam of four fed winners plus 2 x 1st West section & 1st open MNFC. Both these Meyveart hens were bred by G W Kirkland from his direct Roger Meyvaert stock which have bred lots of winners pure or crossed with the Flor Engles. The Second bird is a young hen whose sire is the “57 Cock”, a top racing cock winner of many prizes being from Motivator the direct son of “231” of Flor Engles when paired to the n.o 1 Meyvaert hen. “57” also bred a 2nd fed winner 2010. The dam is a daughter of Golden Chip when paired to the n.o 2 Meyvaert hen., 3rd club is another hen. The sire is a son of Golden Chip when paired to a double granddaughter of “231” of Flor Engles. The dam is the Amal Hen, a direct Willy Thas, g.daughter of de Poke who herself won 1st amal Portland + a RPRA Award for Gerry Clements and is now 1 of their best stock hens. 4th was G Williamson with a homebred young cock off Glyn’s Koopman stock birds.
Brymbo. 1st B Cooke & Son with a homebred Jos Thorne x Steve Jones stock raced natural also this one was 3rd club, 17th fed Hereford(1), 2nd club G Pemberton & Sons with a blue cock on roundabout old “700” cock CW Green, 3rd and 4th Lloyd Bros with a blue hen, Alan Atkinson x Homebred Busschaert on roundabout and a dark cheq cock busschaert cock on roundabout homebred, sire bred lots of winners and prizewinners x mealy hen bought at the One loft Sale, only 2 birds off this pair with the nestmate 2nd club Hereford(1).

Leeswood Inv. 1st 3rd and 4th RT&K Hughes with a blue Vandenabeele hen bred by Ronnie Dodd & Son of Chester which also won from Hereford (1). And was bought at the Llay YB Sale, a Cheq Dhaenen cock out of J Millward & Son Stock and a blue cock homebred Busschaert. All these on darkness, 2nd club T Woodward with a dark cheq Hen homebred out of his amal winner on the channel.
Ellesmere. 1st and 3rd Roy & Derrick Dovaston with the same cock that won last week, Van de Rhee x Vandenabeele and a cheq cock, sire bought at Chris Lloyd's Clearance Sale, van reet, dam Andrew Lawley hen 64th and 65th open in the MNFC Races, 2nd club A Price with a blue homebred van loon cock, 4th club P&A Howell with a bird bought at the hope house sale from Wagget&Kippling.
