26-Z07123 GRIZZLE COCK Came with the winner twice as a youngster — by a full brother to the NEHU's best bird of 2022

A 2026 grizzle cock by "Brazilian Babe" (24-A89260), full brother to the NEHU's best bird of 2022, out of a Jason Creswell Van den Bulck hen described as a sister to a host of winners. He has already homed with the race winner on two occasions — the card calls him "top blood, sure to make a top breeder".

The card records that he "came with the winner on 2 races" as a 2026 youngster — dropping in with the first bird home twice.

The Sire — 24-A89260 "Brazilian Babe"

Full brother to "Red Sonia", best bird in the NEHU 2022 · Vaze Brasil × Blue Princess

Brazilian Babe came to Willow Lofts from Jimmy Bamblin and is a full brother to "Red Sonia" — 9 × 1st Club, 6 × 1st Federation and best in the NEHU in 2022, a hen the card records as sold for £15,000. He was bought as a hen, which is where the name comes from, and has since proved himself as a cock in the stock loft.

His sire, "Vaze Brasil", is marked "super breeder" on the card, and Vaze Brasil's dam is a sister to "Kittel", the Belgian National Ace the card credits with "the lowest coefficient ever in Belgian sprint racing". His dam, "Blue Princess" (17-E26115), is also a "super breeder", bred from "Musketeer" (BELG-08-6349871) × "Matriarch" (BELG-09-6293976). One copy of the card adds the family name Van den Bulck beneath him.

The Dam — 24-A36699

Grizzle hen · bred by Jason Creswell · Van den Bulck

24-A36699 is a grizzle hen bred by Jason Creswell, of Van den Bulck blood, and described as a "sister to a host of winners". She came without a pedigree. What she is worth shows in her produce at Willow Lofts: besides this cock, she is the dam of the nest-mates 25-C74891 and 25-C74892, kept back for stock, by 19-D49171, a half-brother to the 2nd King's Cup into Ireland.

Foot note from Howard himself

In 2024 I was told I had stage 4 prostrate cancer which had gone to my bones, so I sold nearly all my race bird’s including stock. My last sale was due for Dec 2024 with 20 late breds and 4 stock birds. On my visit too Hull Hospital in Nov 2024 to see my consultant Doctor Patu, he informed me that he though my treatment was working because my P.S.I. was dropping from 940, and it is now undetectable, so I decided too give it another try racing, racing only 5 race bird in 2025 old birds on rubbers. They won or were first 4 in every old bird race, ending with 2nd GYA, 1200 odd bird’s.

I was invited to join a very strong club for young birds, and they flew really well winning a few races, in many arriving in bunches.

In 2026 old bird I was 2nd Fed ECT despite me going on a cruise for 2 wks. In young bird season: first Grantham 88ml 1st 2nd 3rd 4th, 1st Ebor Fed; Grantham (2) 1st club 1st Fed; Huntingdon 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th, first 4 in Fed; and in last race of season 1st club 1st Fed, Decoy Lakes.

Winning 3rd breeder buyer in GYA £400,
In the club 1st and 2nd breeder buyer and £1,000.

So thats all bragging done, now onto birds.

Mostly ‘William De Bruije’ from syndicate loft, with a few Luc Vavort’s, all very nr the tree: Lawman, Blue Spider, Erin, Little China Girl, All the Aces, Yurri, Murphys Diamond, Red Rum, Sweet Caroline, Maggy Murphy, and many more. I still have ‘Golden Jade’ – her young this yr alone have won me £1400 in B and B. These will be my last ever sales as I am 86 now.

25-Z11369 CHEQUER COCK Already the sire of a top winner from the loft's best breeding pair "BRAZILIAN BABE & GOLDEN JADE"

A 2025 chequer cock who has won minor prizes himself and already bred a top winner in a friend's loft. He is a son of "Brazilian Babe" (24-A89260), full brother to the NEHU's best bird of 2022, out of "Golden Jade" (23-V72081), the loft's No. 1 breeder. The card's verdict: "likely top stock cock".

The Sire — 24-A89260 "Brazilian Babe"

The Dam — 23-V72081 "Golden Jade"

The loft's No. 1 breeder · Blue Spider × Erin · William de Bruijne lines

Howard Jackson calls Golden Jade "my No. 1 breeder" and the card puts figures to it. In 2026 alone her youngsters won £1,400 in breeder/buyer racing; she has bred a 2nd G.Y.A. against 1,200 birds; and of the four youngsters she bred in 2025, three won. She cost £1,500 when she was bought in.

She is bred from two of the best birds the card attributes to the Syndicate Lofts, both William de Bruijne blood. Her sire, "Blue Spider" (BELG-19-3007763), is one of the syndicate's top breeders and, in the card's words, "hard to find nowadays"; his dam "Tina" was 23rd National La Souterraine against 11,236 birds. Her dam, "Erin" (22-V51687), is noted as "Syndicate Lofts best" and is bred "Lawman" × "Stardust", Stardust being described as a top breeding hen.
