the 1st NFC National Coutances and the hen that finished 2nd to it —
with Hooymans' Harry family behind both

sale only due to a change of plan for 2027, and a bigger focus now
on
One Loft Racing for which more loft space is required. This
means over a series of sales that some impeccably bred stock pigeons
acquired with no expense spared will now be parted with, as well as
some pigeons from the younger stock team that were bred for stock and
will no longer be required… my loss, will most certainly be
someone’s gain!
BO is bred from the two pigeons at the centre of the best day in the Ace Lofts record. Her sire, "Mufasa", is the sire of the 1st NFC National Coutances, 3,246 birds. Her dam, "Nearly Ace", was 2nd National Coutances in that same 3,246-bird race — beaten only by her loft mate. Behind both parents sits Jan Hooymans' "Harry" family, built on Jonge Bliksem × Dirkje, the pair that bred the 1st Blois against 37,728 birds
The Sire — NL17-1409875 "Mufasa" Blue cock · bred by J. Hooymans · sire of the 1st NFC National Coutances Mufasa's value is in what he has bred in the UK. His card credits him as sire of 1st NFC National Coutances, 3,246 birds, 1st and 2nd Honiton, 2,408 birds, and 6th Blandford, 864 birds, and as grandsire of 1st Guernsey Section, 1,724 birds and 2nd Guernsey National, 3,219 birds. That is a cross-Channel National winner and a second generation already scoring from Guernsey. He is a pure Hooymans pigeon. His sire "New Harry" (NL14-1219811) won 1st Niergnies, 14,737 birds, 1st St P. Maxc. (as printed), 12,894 birds, 1st Melun 1,046 birds, 9th Troyes 6,390 birds and 38th Blois 6,613 birds. New Harry is a grandson of "Harry" (NL07-2007621). Mufasa's dam, "Sister Harry" (NL11-1912078), is a daughter of Jonge Bliksem × Dirkje — so Mufasa carries the Harry foundation pair on both his sides.
The Dam — GB19-N50033 "Nearly Ace" Blue hen · bred by Ace Lofts · 2nd National Coutances 3,246 birds Nearly Ace is a racer and a producer. She was 2nd National Coutances against 3,246 birds, the card noting she was beaten by loft mate. In the stock loft she is dam to 2nd ED Combine BBLM, 4,500 birds, 2nd Guernsey Section, 805 birds, and 9th Guernsey National, 1,871 birds. Her sire, "Ruby's Ace" (GB17-N50100), is a son of "AS Ace Euro" (BELG08-6071414), August Jansen bred, out of "Ruby" (GB15-N10047), whom the card describes as a 1st National winner and who is herself a daughter of AS Ace Euro. Her dam, "Beauty Blue" (NL14-1209877), is the outstanding producer on this card: as well as Nearly Ace's 2nd Coutances she is dam of 4th Coutances National, 3,200 birds, and a string of Blandford places — 2nd from 1,148, 3rd from 3,187, 3rd and 5th from 955, 4th from 1,148 and 1,046 — plus 4th Yeovil, 1,023 birds.
