GB.24.N 33739 A young stock cock Direct son "GOLDEN JADE" already breeding winners, carrying the syndicate's £25,000 cock The Lawman through both his sire and his dam

24-N 33739 is a 2024 stock cock bred on both sides from one syndicate loft's top stock birds. "The Lawman" (NL21-1193841), bought by the syndicate for £25,000, is his grandsire through his sire and his great-grandsire through his dam. His dam is the breeder's foundation hen, and he is already breeding winners himself.

He has no race record of his own; his value is as a breeder, and he is already proving it. In the breeder's own words he is "a really special cock, breeding multiple winners, but sadly have to part."

The Sire — 23-V 72188 "Bylaw"

Son of The Lawman · bred 2nd G.Y.A. against 1,200 birds

Bylaw is a 2023 cock and already a proven producer: the card records that he has bred the breeder several top winners, including 2nd G.Y.A. against 1,200 birds. He is a direct son of The Lawman, the syndicate's top cock and its £25,000 purchase, out of "Sweet Caroline" (NL19-1788930), described as one of the syndicate's top stock hens.

Behind The Lawman stand "Murphy's Law" (NL17-1279282) and "Phoebe" (NL16-1525705), both marked world class on the card. Behind Sweet Caroline stand "De Herman" (NL11-1199695) and "Anastasia" (NL16-1525641), the latter also marked world class.

The Dam — 23-V 72081 "Golden Jade"

The breeder's foundation hen · £1,400 won by her youngsters in one season

The breeder calls Golden Jade "the dam of my loft". In a single season her youngsters won £1,400 when she was paired to a cock from Steve Price. That is a different cock from Bylaw, so those winners are half-siblings to this bird rather than full siblings, but it shows a hen who breeds winners across more than one pairing.

Her sire is "Blue Spider" (BE19-3007763), described as the syndicate loft's top breeder, a son of the world-class breeder "Spidy" (NL11-1742464) and "Tina" (BE12-3142137) from Luc & Hilda Sioen. Her dam is "Erin" (22-V 51687), a top stock hen for the syndicate and a daughter of The Lawman out of "Stardust" (BE12-6142393), whom the card names as dam, granddam and great-granddam of top winners, with Di Caprio named among them.

Foot note from Howard himself.

In 2024 I was told I had stage 4 prostrate cancer which had gone to my bones, so I sold nearly all my race bird’s including stock. My last sale was due for Dec 2024 with 20 late breds and 4 stock birds. On my visit too Hull Hospital in Nov 2024 to see my consultant Doctor Patu, he informed me that he though my treatment was working because my P.S.I. was dropping from 940, and it is now undetectable, so I decided too give it another try racing, racing only 5 race bird in 2025 old birds on rubbers. They won or were first 4 in every old bird race, ending with 2nd GYA, 1200 odd bird’s.

I was invited too join a very strong club for young birds, and they flew really well winning a few races, in many arriving in bunches.

In 2026 old bird I was 2nd Fed ECT despite me going on a cruise for 2 wks. In young bird season: first Grantham 88ml 1st 2nd 3rd 4th, 1st Ebor Fed; Grantham (2) 1st club 1st Fed; Huntingdon 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th, first 4 in Fed; and in last race of season 1st club 1st Fed, Decoy Lakes.

Winning 3rd breeder buyer in GYA £400,
In the club 1st and 2nd breeder buyer and £1,000.

So thats all bragging done, now onto birds.

Mostly ‘William De Bruije’ from syndicate loft, with a few Luc Vavort’s, all very nr the tree: Lawman, Blue Spider, Erin, Little China Girl, All the Aces, Yurri, Murphys Diamond, Red Rum, Sweet Caroline, Maggy Murphy, and many more. I still have ‘Golden Jade’ – her young this yr alone have won me £1400 in B and B. These will be my last ever sales as I am 86 now.
