GB2025V45429 "Swift"CHEQUER HEN Fantastic O L R Gaby Vandenabeele X J & F Vandenheede daughter "BLUE KING"

By the grandsire of the 2022 Europa OLR winner, out of a Vandenheede hen who has bred four OLR scorers in two seasons

"Swift" is a 2025 chequer hen bred as a straight cross of two Belgian families: Gaby Vandenabeele on her sire's side and J & F Vandenheede on her dam's. Both parents are already producing in One Loft racing. Her sire "Blue King" is grandsire of GB2022V62147, 1st Europa OLR 2022, a winner of 30,000 euros later sold on PIPA for 18,200 euros. Her dam "Houston" has bred four OLR scorers for this loft across 2024 and 2025 — one of them Swift's own full sibling.

The Sire — BELG2016-3084281 "Blue King"

Gaby Vandenabeele · son of a 1st Provincial winner · grandsire of a 1st Europa OLR winner

Blue King comes directly from Gaby Vandenabeele, and the card describes him as a top breeder. The record supports it. His grandchild GB2022V62147 won 1st Europa OLR 2022 and 30,000 euros, then sold on PIPA for 18,200 euros. Paired to Houston he bred GB2025V45379, 95th Ace Algarve Golden OLR 2025 — a full sibling to Swift, from the same pairing in the same year. The card also lists GB2025V45385, 1st UK and 47th Ace from 3,418 birds (Pa Mok), in his record.

He is bred from performance on both sides: his sire "De Provincial" is a 1st Provincial winner against 5,697 birds, and his dam "Lion Queen" is a direct daughter of the racer "Lion King".

The Dam — BELG2020-4226853 "Houston"

J & F Vandenheede · daughter of "Double First National Ace" · dam of four OLR scorers

Houston is a daughter of "Double First National Ace" and a half-sister to his 2020 championship pigeons — 3rd and 8th National Ace KBDB Allround and 5th National Ace KBDB Long Distance. At Mike Chadwick's loft she has bred scorers in three different One Loft Races over two seasons:

GB2024V28806 — 19th Hotspot 1, 25th Hotspot 3, 36th Final, UK Premier OLR

GB2024V28855 — 40th Ace, Algarve Golden Race, 7,182 birds

GB2025V45356 — 3rd Hotspot 3, WDW OLR 2025, original entry 1,651 birds

GB2025V45379 — 95th Ace, Algarve Golden OLR 2025 (Swift's full sibling)

The card also describes her as dam to two of the loft's top breeding hens. Results across different races and different years are what separate a breeding hen from a lucky nest, and Houston has both.

Mike Chadwick has to be one of the most successful Breeders of OLR pigeons world wide Bird for bird when you consider the relatively small team of birds he keeps compared to most !!

Having already secured 3 separate OLR Victories with this superb family of pigeons his drive to produce even more is relentless.

I have know Mike for some years now and his Knowledge and ability to breed outstanding stock is phenomenal !!

I have handled every one of these and the buyers will not be disappointed !!
