GB26 Z 26226 DARK CHEQUER COCK Best Kittel , Olympic Gustave XIV GOEMAERE !!

GB26 Z 26226 DARK CHEQUER COCK Best Kittel through his sire's sire, and a dam bred from two children of the pair that produced Olympic Gustave XIV

Concentrating on the NFC & Channel racing, I am cutting back on our very successful sprint team !!

GB26 Z 26226 is a dark chequer cock that crosses two of the strongest sprint families in Belgium. Through his sire he descends from Best Kittel (BE15-1029362), 1st National Ace KBDB Sprint 2017, by way of his son Best Kittel Boeing. Through his dam he carries the Goemaere Gustave XIV family twice: her sire is a son of Matteo, winner of 1st Pont St Maxence against 2,363 birds, and her dam is out of a full sister to Olympic Gustave XIV, 1st Olympic Acebird Belgium Cat. A and 1st National Acebird Sprint KBDB 2023.

The Sire — GB21 Z 52658 "Dark Sherwood"

Grandson of Best Kittel · breeder of winners up to Combine level

The card describes Dark Sherwood as a breeder of winners up to Combine level. He is by Best Kittel Boeing (BE20-4186747, Pipa), a son of Best Kittel that is himself sire and grandsire of winners including 1st Club, 1st Federation 823 birds, 9th Section 298 birds and 10th Open 3,404 birds. Best Kittel, bred and raced by Dehan-Demonseau and later owned by PIPA, won 1st National Ace KBDB Sprint 2017 and 4th National Ace KBDB Sprint 2016.

Best Kittel Boeing's dam is a daughter of Milan (BE16-1053973) out of a Best Kittel daughter, so the Kittel blood behind this cock is concentrated rather than diluted. Dark Sherwood's dam is the Eijerkamp hen Anna (NL15-1897834), described on the card as a class hen and dam and granddam to 9x 1st Federation and Open winners, and dam of Dark Diva, 1st Hot Spot OLR Derby Arona 2019. Anna is by Usain (BE12-6055556, Stefaan Lambrechts), a son of Dirk Van den Bulck's Kleine Dirk and winner of 1st NPO Nanteuil 2013 against 5,901 pigeons and 3rd Soissons 1,595 pigeons, out of Diamond Rossi, a daughter of Leo Heremans' Rossi.

The Dam — GB25 N 51667

Granddaughter of Matteo · bred by Zwols Pigeons from the Goemaere Gustave XIV family

A blue white-flight hen bred by Zwols Pigeons. Her sire, Son of Matteo (BELG23-1123829), is by Matteo (BELG21-1090383), a mealy cock out of the pair Vale Jose × Mother Gustave XIV — the same parents as Olympic Gustave XIV. Matteo's own record:

1st Pont St Maxence — 2,363 birds

1st Ecouen — 567 birds; 1st Ecouen 338 birds; 1st Ecouen 158 birds

A (2022–2023) Maastricht, 1st National Acebird Sprint old birds KBDB 2023 with a 0.65% coefficient (the card notes the second lowest in the history of the title) and 6th National Acebird Sprint yearlings KBDB 2022.
