NL 23-9274112 BLUE COCK · "BLIKSEM BENJAMIN 112" · BRED BY LEO VAN RIJN

Son of a 1st-prize Peronne cock who is full brother to a 1st Combine winner from 3,896 birds, out of a daughter of the 2012 Combine Ace young bird

"Bliksem Benjamin 112" is a 2023 blue cock from Leo van Rijn of De Lier, bred to join the old van Rijn Benjamin and Replay family with the Vandenabeele "Bliksem" and Koopman lines. The strongest single fact on his card sits on the sire's side: his father is a full brother to 16-1835723, 1st Combine Peronne against 3,896 birds. On the dam's side, his grandmother "Grizle 456" was 1st Ace Pigeon Young Birds, Combine Westland/Den Haag 2012.

The Sire — NL 17-1189338 "Bliksem Replay 338"

Two 1st prizes Peronne · 3rd Peronne 1,727 birds · Abeele × Leo van Rijn

338 was raced, and his card lists a solid sprint and middle-distance record: 1st Peronne 234 birds, 1st Peronne 105 birds, 2nd St Maxence 154 birds, 3rd Peronne 1,727 birds, 3rd Arras 283 birds, 3rd Nanteuil 268 birds, 4th Moeskroen 265 birds, 7th Peronne 383 birds and 13th Nanteuil 2,076 birds.

His breeding is the reason he went to stock. His sire "Bliksem & Dirk" 986 is Vandenabeele Bliksem × Koopman "Wondere Dirk", and his dam "Benjamina Replay" 198 comes straight from van Rijn's Replay line. That same pairing also produced 16-1835723, 1st Combine Peronne 3,896 birds — so 112's father is a full brother to a combine winner. In the breeder's words, 338 carries "on all sides the best family lines of the last 30 years".

The Dam — NL 16-1841746 "Ooi 746"

Daughter of the 2012 Combine Ace young bird · Koopman × base line Benjamin

746 is a ooievaar hen of vd Hoek/Groeneveld lines whose value is in what stands directly behind her. Her dam "Grizle 456" was 1st Ace Pigeon Young Birds, Combine Westland/Den Haag 2012, scoring 10th Nanteuil 2,236 birds, 14th Moeskroen 5,329 birds and 20th Wolvertem 3,323 birds. Her sire, Koopman 10-1112895, won 1st Peronne against 3,333 birds and was 13th Chimay against 11,024 birds.

So the dam brings two proven performers as parents — a 1st-prize Koopman cock and a young-bird ace hen of pure Benjamin base line — which makes her a natural partner for a racing cock like 338.

This is a fantastic bold proven cock for sale here !!

foot note from the seller below.

These pigeons are on auction as my partner has health issues and I have work commitments. These 6 lots would definitely not be up for sale otherwise! Four of these lots are directly from Leo’s loft just before they were all sold to china. They have all bred winners up to federation level!
