APRIL UPDATE

I would like to start by thanking everyone who very kindly donated some outstanding pigeons to our

Annual Young Bird Sale at Salisbury on Sunday April 6 th . It was very nice to see so many members turn out to support the Club. A very special thank you to Mr S Farmer from Leicester and Mr P

Curtis from Shiptonthorpe, Yorkshire who both made the trip down. The total money raised from the sixty lots we auctioned was £4,040. The raffle made a profit of

£157. All paperwork for members who have paid should now have been received. There are still almost 80

members who have yet to pay. Please be reminded that your £20 subscriptions were due before April 1

st . Please could all members check their distances are correct. Also, please could you all make sure that you are in the correct Section especially those of you in Section D and Section J.

The BBC’s first race of 2014 from Carentan is only a couple of weeks away. Please remember that

Part A of your race sheet must be with me by Saturday April 26 th . If entering online, your race sheet/payment must be with me NO LATER than Monday 28

th April. Every member entering the

RACE WHETHER USING ETS OR RUBBERS MUST TAKE THEIR COMPLETED PART B RACE SHEET TO THE MARKING

station with the birds. On a normal Saturday liberation, all clock envelopes after the race must be received by me no later than the Wednesday after the race.

As you would have seen the Racing Pigeon and British Homing World are running some special articles on previous Palamos/ Barcelona winners to celebrate our 50 th

Anniversary this year. For those of you that have missed these articles they will be available to view on the Club’s website.
