Text-based stray reporting facility

You can now report a stray GB-rung racing pigeon by SMS text message.

You just need to format your message as, for example: ‘GB22L12345 injured’ and text this to 07888 860186.

Within a few seconds you will receive a text back giving confirmation of the reported ring number and phone/email contact details for the owner.

Make sure that you put the full ring number and a condition – alive, injured or dead. Please note that this facility can only be used for GB rings.

In the same way that you can opt to receive stray reports as an owner by email, you can also opt to receive them by text message. Send your loft number, name and mobile number to [email protected] to opt in to this service.
