GB.22.Z.10115 CH cock Son of the loft's No. 1 middle-distance stock cock and a hen whose youngsters have won at least ten 1st prizes
22-Z10115 is a four-year-old chequer cock bred from two parents who are both producing winners right now. His sire, 19-D49171, is described by the breeder as "my No. 1 stock cock of middle distance birds" and in 2026 bred the 1st B/B winner and £600. His dam, 21-D44559, is called a "goldmine breeder" on the card, with youngsters that have won at least ten 1st prizes, including B/B and up to Open level.
He is a stock cock with no race record of his own. He has already been out on loan, where in the breeder's words he "bred some super birds" — so he has been tried at stud rather than being an untested youngster.
The Sire — 19-D49171
Blue cock · the breeder's No. 1 middle-distance stock cock · sire of 1st B/B 2026
The sire is the cornerstone of the loft's middle-distance team — "my No. 1 stock cock of middle distance birds", as the card puts it. His most recent headline is current: in 2026 he bred the 1st B/B winner, taking £600. A sire still producing at that level at seven years old is exactly what a buyer of his son wants to see.
He is bred from Belgian-based stock on both sides. His sire, 18-F28417, was at Syndicate Lofts for two seasons, where he bred 1st Federation Berwick; he was then sold to Ireland, where the card says he "bred 2 Kings Cup etc." His dam, 15-E32907, is a sister to the hen who bred "Super Sun", 1st National for a top Belgian loft.
The Dam — 21-D44559
Goldmine breeder · dam of at least 10 × 1st including B/B and up to Open level
The dam is the reason this cock is worth buying as much as the sire is. In five breeding seasons her youngsters have won at least ten 1st prizes, including a B/B win, with results reaching Open level. A hen producing first-prize winners that consistently is rare, and her son is one of the few ways to get her blood.
She brings an entirely different family to the sire. Her sire, "Fury" (20-NEC 2321), is an inbred son of Jimmy Richardson's "Cracker" (15-ST 1799), bred father to daughter — the daughter, 19-FUT 546, being Cracker's own 1st UNC winner. Her dam, "Jeanette" (BELG-11-6091403), is a direct daughter of the Belgian cock "De Jan" (BELG-02-6113220), out of a hen herself bred "Olympiade" × daughter of "Olympiade".
Foot note from Howard himself.
In 2024 I was told I had stage 4 prostrate cancer which had gone to my bones, so I sold nearly all my race bird’s including stock. My last sale was due for Dec 2024 with 20 late breds and 4 stock birds. On my visit too Hull Hospital in Nov 2024 to see my consultant Doctor Patu, he informed me that he though my treatment was working because my P.S.I. was dropping from 940, and it is now undetectable, so I decided too give it another try racing, racing only 5 race bird in 2025 old birds on rubbers. They won or were first 4 in every old bird race, ending with 2nd GYA, 1200 odd bird’s.
I was invited too join a very strong club for young birds, and they flew really well winning a few races, in many arriving in bunches.
In 2026 old bird I was 2nd Fed ECT despite me going on a cruise for 2 wks. In young bird season: first Grantham 88ml 1st 2nd 3rd 4th, 1st Ebor Fed; Grantham (2) 1st club 1st Fed; Huntingdon 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th, first 4 in Fed; and in last race of season 1st club 1st Fed, Decoy Lakes.
