NL 20-1417916 ch hen · "JANIE HATTRICK 916" · BRED BY LEO VAN RIJN
A Van Rijn hen carrying Gebr. Janssen 019 blood on both sides, by a son of the Chimay winner Jannie 537 and out of Hattrick 693
"Janie Hattrick 916" is a 2020 hen bred by Leo van Rijn of De Lier, joining his own two families — the Jannie line on the sire's side and the Hattrick line on the dam's — with Gebr. Janssen of Arendonk blood coming in on both. Her sire is a son of "Jannie 537", winner of 1st Chimay against 439 birds and 6th Chimay against 11,024, and grandson of the hen "Jannie" 553, who won 1st against 12,568 pigeons and was Ace Pigeon 2007.
The Sire — NL 17-1189386 M "Janie Tyson 386"
Son of Jannie 537 · prized eight times as a yearling · Schalie
Bred by Gebr. Janssen / Van Rijn, "Janie Tyson 386" raced well himself: the card records him as a yearling at 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 8th — eight top-ten placings in one season, though the card does not give the races or field sizes.
His real weight is his breeding. He is a son of "Jannie 537" (NL 10-1578537), the cock the card calls the great Champ, and of "Janssen Bross 574" (NL 14-1326574), a Gebr. Janssen hen bred down from the old Arendonk lines — Kleintje, 019, Vechter, Schone Licht, Afgekeurde, Blauwe Winterjongen through her dam, and Tamme, Bonte 57, 't Goed Vosken and the Jonge Merckx line through her sire. That is about as much of the classic Janssen foundation as a single hen can carry.
The Dam — NL 11-1662693 V "Hattrick 693"
Van Rijn Hattrick line × imported Rick Mardis blood · Blauw
"Hattrick 693" is the Van Rijn side of the pairing. Her sire is NL 03-1035207, described on the card as a top flyer bred from "Hattrick 284" — which the breeder calls the super breeder of his Hattrick family — paired to a hen of the Janssen 019 line. Her dam, NL 03-1035219, is a daughter of "'t Robijnoog" 791, a cock the breeder bought from Rick Mardis in the USA, from children close to the source of the Merckx and 019 of the Gebroeders Janssen.
So the dam is built the same way as the sire's dam: Van Rijn's own family laid over the Arendonk Janssens, with the 019 line appearing in both of her grandparents' backgrounds.

foot note from the seller below.
These pigeons are on auction as my partner has health issues and I have work commitments. These 6 lots would definitely not be up for sale otherwise! Four of these lots are directly from Leo’s loft just before they were all sold to china. They have all bred winners up to federation level!
