BURTON & SOUTH DERBYSHIRE FEDERATION.
Fast and Furious out of Frome(2) sees Dave Waddington take top spot.
Saturday June 6th should have seen our birds at Frome in Somerset for their second visit of the season, but due to a poor forecast of rain and strong winds, marking was put back 24 hours. Birdage was down this week due to the fed also sending birds to Guernsey with the Heart of England, and also the MNFC/NMCC race from Fougeres, but still a very decent birdage. 64 members from 8 clubs sent 948 birds which were liberated by Alys at 10-20 in a strong SW wind, the birds romped home, with excellent returns.
Congratulations to Dave Waddington of Chaddesden Jubilee in Derby in taking 1st fed on 2023.7; “Waddo” timed in a 2yo blue cock out of his Alan Brassington x “The Bat” lines.
