JOURNEY’S END – NIPA RACE REPORTS – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

GORDON’S BASK IN GLORY FROM CLOUGHMARTIN

 With the season just getting into full swing we swiftly move onto another week of racing. Race marking went ahead as scheduled for the trip back down to Co. Tipperary. On Friday the 7^th of July a total of 398 members of the NIPA sent a total of 11,287 birds to Cloughmartin. On Saturday morning the 8^th of August the NIPA liberated in Cloughmartin at 09:00hrs in a light South South West wind.

The Winning Bird from the fourth Young Bird Race of the 2026 NIPA Season belongs to Gordon Bros & Sons of Cloughey HPS in Section F.

 The Cloughey men are on fire this youngbird season putting in a super team performance winning yet another NIPA open in some style. The Cloughmartin 1^st & 2^nd Open winning pigeon has been named ‘Rapid Blizzard’ and ‘Green Eyed Princess’ both clocking in the same  the winning velocity of 1887.584YPM. With 8 in a drop together with 9 close behind they had 17 birds in the top 31 against 11,287 birds.

SECTION C REPORT

The Winner of Section C (65/1,608) from Cloughmartin was McMurray & Anderson of Ligoniel & District HPS. The successful Belfast racing partnership have continue their vein of form into this week winning their club (366 birds) and another Section win 3 from 3 so far while also winning 2^nd Section C (1,608 birds) the two birds also are in the top 20 in the open finishing 19^th & 20^th NIPA Open (11,287 birds) GB26 D 39127 is a Leo Herman/Van Den Bulck. He is out of a pair of racers . His Dam is a 2year old who Darren calls the 50 Hen. She has been a good steady racer with numerous section and open prizes some positions include 4^th Section, 43^rd Open Fermoy, 6^th Section, 16^th Open Dunmanway YB Nat, 9^th Section, 27^th Open Benamore to name just three. This young cock now named Coby D after Darrens first Grandson and has hit the ground running. He was 1^st Club Ligoniel 2^nd Section 1,520 birds Kilbeggan beat by decimals. 67^th Open 8,181 birds. The following week he was 1^st club, 3^rd section Benamore 1,656 birds, 38^th open 10,882 birds and Cloughmartin he was 1^st club, 1^st section 1,608 birds, 8^th open 11,287 birds. He is a darkness yb who has just taken up with a hen last couple of weeks. Delighted with his performances up to now especially racing in a very strong Ligoniel Club with some top fanciers. The club has won 4 sections out of 4 with Bingham & Seaton & Dowie having a fantastic season and other club members doing very well in the section and open.

Blue cheq cock flying to the perch, sire is Mark Gilbert obtained at the Larne & District moot sale and the dam is from Ray Strawbridge of Wales. Well done big fella. Young Harry has broken his novice status in style winning 1^st Club (341 birds) and an even more memorable result in winning 1^st Section G for the first time (1,748 birds) and overall winning 1^th Open NIPA (11,287 birds) Harry has been racing out of his skin the past 4 weeks at the top of the NIPA Result every week.
