2024 RACE PROGRAMME & INFORMATION
The October Classic Committee was held to discuss the 2023 season and prepare for racing in 2024.
There has been much talk of organisations needing to join together to save on costs, so between
ourselves, the British Barcelona Club and the British International Championship Club that is what
we have done. We are also welcoming anyone else who would like to jump on board with us and fly
the channel.
In the old bird race programme for Nort Sur Erdre, Pau and Bordeaux we will be joining with the
BBC and BICC, for Messac we will be working with the BBC.
The young bird/ old bird programme will see the three organisations travelling to Fougeres together
and for Guernsey YB/OB it will be ourselves and the BBC.

Marking Stations
The Marking stations will be:
Pau International: – Southampton and Sunbury.
Carentan & Guernsey YB/ OB: – Frome, Steventon and Southampton. You will also have the option
of Ironbridge and Bovingdon for this race.
Fougeres and Messac: - Frome, Higham, Ironbridge, Southampton and Steventon.
Nort Sur Erdre, Bordeaux and Fougeres YB/OB: All BICC marking stations will be available for our
members to use.
GLOUCESTERSHIRE. Anner Smith is willing to run a feeder service for any member in the
Gloucestershire area who would like to send. All you would need to do is drop your birds and clock
to the designated place to meet Anner and then he would drop your basket and clock back to the
same place once marking is over.
PAU – For Pau, Clive Merrills is willing to run a feeder service for members in his area. More
details to come.
