NL 23-9274113 BLUE COCK · "SCHANUL BENJAMIN 113" · LEO VAN RIJN × W. DE BRUIN

Son of Olympic Leny 301's full brother, out of a combine-winning dam from The Replay, 3rd National Ace Hen 1994

"Schanul Benjamin 113" is a 2023 blue cock bred by Leo van Rijn of De Lier, with the sire's side bred in partnership with Willem de Bruin. Her sire is the full brother of Olympic Leny 301, 5th Best Olympic Pigeon All Holland Young Birds 2018, and went straight to the breeding loft on the strength of it. His dam is the dam of a combine winner from 3,896 birds at Peronne and a granddaughter of "The Replay", 3rd National Ace Hen of the Netherlands in 1994.

The Sire — NL 18-1017878 "Olymp Schanulleke 878"

Full brother to Olympic Leny 301 · Leo van Rijn × Willem de Bruin · Kras

878 has been a stock cock from the start. The card records that he went directly to the breeding loft because he is a full brother of Leny 301 — a hen Leo van Rijn named in honour of his late wife, writing that "301 is a Crack like my Leny was." Leny 301 finished 5th Best Olympic Pigeon All Holland, young birds 2018. Her record on the card includes:

1st from 2,264 birds

2nd Menen, 2,940 birds and 2nd Peronne, 2,667 birds

4th Pt-Ste-Maxence, 5,491 birds; 13th Pt-Ste-Maxence, 3,446 birds

5th Fontenay, 1,260 birds, plus three further 1st prizes (Pt-Ste-Maxence, Menen, Fontenay) from 170–231 birds

878 is a son of Hattrick 790 and Schanulleke 396, so the same pairing that produced Leny 301 stands directly behind this hen.

The Dam — NL 14-1867198 "Benjamina Reply 198"

Dam of a combine winner · granddaughter of The Replay · Blue white-flight

198 has already bred at the top level: she is the dam of 16-723, combine winner at Peronne against 3,896 birds. The card describes her as the top child of Replay '139, the last and only son of The Replay (NL 93-2559606).

The Replay is the foundation of this side. She was 3rd National Ace Hen of the Netherlands as a yearling in 1994 and 13th National Ace as a two-year-old, and the card describes her as a full sister to the loft's other famous cock, Benjamin. In Leo van Rijn's words she was named Replay because, in 1993, she was "already the 5e generation 1e price winners for Leo."

Fantastic proven stock hen !!

foot note from the seller below.

These pigeons are on auction as my partner has health issues and I have work commitments. These 6 lots would definitely not be up for sale otherwise! Four of these lots are directly from Leo’s loft just before they were all sold to china. They have all bred winners up to federation level!
